ആലക്കൽ എ വി ചാക്കോ മറിയാമ്മ ദമ്പതികളുടെ പത്തു മക്കളിൽ അഞ്ചാമത്തെ മകളാണ് മേരി . ആരാധനാ സന്യാസി സഭയിൽ ചേർന്ന് സിസ്റ്റർ ലിയോ മരിയാ എന്ന പേര് സ്വീകരിച്ചു. സഭാ വസ്ത്രo സ്വീകരണവും ആദ്യവൃതവും 16 /04 /1963 ൽ 20 /05 /1967 ൽ നിത്യവൃതം സ്വീകരിച്ചു. അധ്യാപികയായി ജോലി നോക്കി,. സിസ്റ്റർ ലിയോ മരിയാ ദിവ്യകാരുണ്യ ആരാധനാ സഭയുടെ വിവിധ മഠങ്ങളിൽ സേവനം അനുഷ്ടിച്ചു . കാഞ്ഞിരത്താനം,കുന്നോന്നി , കൂടല്ലൂർ, മുട്ടുചിറ, നെല്ലിയാനി , എന്നീ മഠങ്ങളിൽ ഇരുന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്. 1998 ൽ സ്കൂൾ ജോലിയിൽ നിന്നും വിരമിച്ചു. 01 /10 /2022 ൽ 82 മത്തെ വയസിൽ നെല്ലിയാനി മഠത്തിൽ വച്ച് മരണമടഞ്ഞു. മഠം ചാപ്പലിൽ അടക്കം ചെയ്തു.
